The best way to survive any conflict is to avoid it in the first place. This never applies more aptly then in a crisis scenario.

Depending upon the SHTF event conflict could be and probably will be coming at you from all sides. From random looters to trusted group members. Remember whenever you put two people in the same space you are going to have differences in opinion even if you’re close or generally agree on most concepts.
