Uses for an Empty Altoids Can

Altoids were first marketed in Europe as a treatment for intestinal discomfort in 1780 and weren’t available in the United States until 1918. By 1920 they had become a popular breath mint everywhere. For some reason there seems something almost wasteful to simply toss out the little metal Altoids tin once empty! This is especially true for mothers and preppers. They are the perfect size for creating small storage kits and electronic cases. Although some of the uses are a bit frivolous when you think about it, even in a crisis situation things like travel games can be a mother’s life saver. They keep the children in the group busy, out from underfoot and occupied children are less afraid. So it you have children making up a few of the game kits might be a good idea for their BOBs. Other uses can be survival kits and organizational helpers. Either way they can all be a lot of fun to put together!
