Learn Morse Code-Simplified

In an urgent situation you will want to be able to let authorities know that you and/or your group are in need of assistance or rescue. Morse code may be the only way to do it  when the power is out during a storm or other major emergency is literally a life saving communication.

Post SHTF you will be really pleased that you and your group will have the ability to communicate with each other over long distances without much equipment. After dark you could use a flash light to  “read” each other without other flashing apparatus. During the day almost any shiny object would do the trick. It might even be a safer way to communicate with other groups while keeping a safe distancel. Not all groups (your own or others) will have the communications equipment required to radio each other. Even if you do have said equipment, using Morse code with that equipment will lower the number of outsiders that will be able to interpret those communications and vice versa if you are the one listening in.

Learn the basics shown below or even just print out these charts and laminate for safe keeping just in case you might someday require the reference.
