Panic is your greatest enemy when disaster strikes. Even the best of the battle tested experience it. I recall a military cadence where they chanted “Our’s is to do or die not to question why” The reasoning behind this is if you do what is preplanned or follow an order given without thought, then you will do the correct thing. As civilians we don’t have others thinking in advance for us and as preppers we don’t want others to think for us! So we need our own methods and automatic actions that we can turn to when our minds are whizzing at whatever has happened.
