Dealing with the Unprepared after SHTF

You saved and pinched pennies. You prepared, practiced and taught your children survival techniques. You even warned your friends, family and in some cases your neighbors. Now the disaster has hit, you and your immediate group are safely in your home, tents, or bug out location.

There are those you will welcome into your mist at that point of the timeline. Those who you feel you can trust and who are willing to earn their way within the group. These people who lost their own supplies or have otherwise proven their willingness to work alongside you within the group.

But what to do about the strangers, nay sayers and those you simply don’t trust or want in your group? There will be those who at this point in time are unprepared by choice and are not worried about taking care of themselves at a later date because they feel you will do that for them! Some people currently in your life will be deemed during the aftermath as being untrustworthy when it comes to pulling their own weight and or putting the needs of the group above their own comfort and security. Those who feel they are entitled now during normal times will only become more so during times of stress and strife.
