Survival Skills Your Child Should Know
Most of our children learn from our life style so many of our children raised in the prepper life style will be “born” preppers. But many of us also have children who don’t get it. In my own experience there are things my kids do exactly the way I always did and looking back I realize I do them exactly as my mother did!
My own children did survive disasters… disasters they remember only by the debris and change in landscape around us afterwards, not any struggle during. Why? I think it’s because they were not afraid! We had a plan in place and followed it and part of the plan was to make it almost game like, we sat in the darken safe room and played cards by the light of a battery operated lantern as the storm swirled around us. We don’t want to teach them to be scared but to be prepared.
Survival mom has a list of survival skills we should teach our children now while they are young so that it is a way of life for them, and so they know what to do in the event of an emergency. See her ideas on what you should teach your child to do now at the link below
