3 DIY Air Filters
Wild fires are a terrible disaster that is horrifying to those involved. There isn’t a lot we can tell you to do to protect yourself from them other than what folks who live within range already know…. keep brush cleared on your property, cease any outdoor burning, have your bug out bag at the ready, keep a full tank of gas to flee, and to pay attention and react when told to evacuate the area. After that it’s out of your hands.
This current fire season is particularly bad. More fires are burning this year than I have ever seen before. The smoke is choking people all over the west coast without regard to whether they are in a fire zone or not. Winds are spreading the smoke over miles and miles into states even without fires burning.
Under these conditions, air quality in a large portion of the United States, Canada and even Mexico is at dangerous levels for those that are other wise healthy and in some areas deadly to those that already have medical conditions. For this reason air filters and purifiers are flying off the shelves in a number of regions. Leaving those who don’t ordinarily require them out of luck or to build their own.
