2 DIY Mini Fans – Use Separately or Combined

I know it seems foolish to think about a personal fan during a SHTF scenario especially when the little battery operated ones sell so cheaply in today’s world. But after a crisis these little luxury items won’t be available. Nor will they be a luxury item in a post SHTF world when the heat sets in during summer months, especially for infants and the elderly. We lose people every year during heat waves due to overheating. That could make this DIY project a necessity rather than just for fun or a luxury item.
I came across both of these DIY instructibles but truthfully felt the best design in a post SHTF world might be a combination of both! One uses an old fan from a computer which of course wouldn’t be of any use after a grid down scenario so this would be a good option….The same maker also has a listing for making your own 9 volt battery clip incase you can’t scavenge one during crisis. The other details how to make the actual fan it’s self using plastic spoons! Which would be great if an old computer isn’t available.
