15+ Uses for Dryer Sheets That Don’t Have Anything to do With a Dryer!
Multi-use items are one way to make the best use of what you already have. Which of course saves money and un-necessary trips to the market to replace this or that product. A couple things I particularly like about multiple uses for dryer sheets is that I have found that the cheapest brand works just as well as the more expensive. Also that they can be used for some of these other purposes in the featured blog as well as some that I will tell you about myself AFTER I have already used them in the dryer. Making each sheet multifunction.
Wonderful Engineering provides us with a list of 15 uses outside the dryer at the link below.
Here are 15 Uses Of Dryer Sheets That You Probably Didn’t Know
Other uses I have discovered:
- Put a fresh sheet into the dirty laundry bag to prevent the smell of for instance dirty sweat socks from perforating the room.
- When storing out of season clothing put a used dyer sheet in the bag with them and when you unpack them next season there is not musty smell.
- It is purported that rodents and other invasive critters don’t like the smell and will repel them from your camper or basement.
- Not just in your gym bag but in your stinky shoes.
- If out of bug repellant fit for human skin, some say rubbing these against your skin will help keep mosquitoes away.
- People love them for cleaning art paint brushes.
- I use a previously used sheet in drawers to keep everything smelling just out of the dryer fresh.
- I have a friend who puts a fresh sheet in her vacuum cleaner bag and it helps freshen her carpet.
- Someone else claims she uses one in her microwave to illuminate the smell of burnt popcorn!
- Neatly remove dryer lint from the dryer filter using the same sheet you just pulled out of the dryer.
