New isn’t always better! Some of the methods of the past work as well as do the more modern and more expensive methods of today! Now, when it comes to the safety of my drinking water…. well, honestly, I would prefer the fancy more expensive filtration systems of today. Mainly because that is what I grew up trusting. But if the worst happens and I can’t use those systems… I would recommend falling back to the rainwater systems that those very filters were based upon and that kept our ancestors alive and healthy before the time of tap water and purchased filter systems.
