DIY Bulb Oil Lamp
I came across this neat little lamp and began the hunt to locate one. I did find them for sale on sites like ebay and etsy from a variety of different individuals and with an equal variety of prices. But then I hit pay dirt! 🙂 a DIY set of instructions. What a great way to recycle old light bulbs if you still have a few of these older version bulbs,
I don’t think they will give off enough light to read by or use for home lighting in a grid down scenario from a short term storm nor a long term event. But they would be great for lighting up just a small area like using a night light for yourself and kids during a power outage, just to be able to see across the room etc..
Even though not usable enough for a long term solution, they are cute alternatives to a flashlight in a contained area. See the DIY instructions from Magnelectrostatic linked below
